A site-based role supporting a major deconstruction project in Trawsfynydd, focused on temporary works design, methodology, structural assessment, risk management, and stakeholder liaison. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in demolition or construction environments.

  • Further to successfully securing a major deconstruction project at Trawfynydd, Wales DSM seeks to employ a skilled and experienced Temporary Works Design Engineer / Structural Engineer to join our team to provide design output and methodology for construction and removal of Temporary Works.
  • Initially the role is required for a fixed contract basis, however there will be opportunity for the right candidate to extend this into a permanent role.

Essential

Preferred

  • A comprehensive understanding of methodology and design principals relating to temporary works, and temporary loading of permanent works.
  • Good level of computer literacy and ability to use AutoCAD, Revit, Excel amongst others.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Effective communication and people skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and workload.
  • Day-to-day liaison with the Client and Third-Party Stakeholders.
  • Respect the confidentiality of all information obtained in the course of duties.
  • Ensure that you understand and abide by the duties, responsibilities, and legal requirements in respect of Health & Safety and welfare affecting you, colleagues, clients and visitors to company and client premises.
  • Always maintain professional competency.
